Hello, friends! My name is Oleksander Zaitsev. I founded RoboHouse, a robotics laboratory for adults and children, in November 2015. Our team has created a great space for young inventors and constructors of robots over those years. We started creating a platform for events, hosted robot sumo competitions, track racing, labyrinth racing… Our students from high school presented their own inventions at Ukraine-wide competitions and contests, won awards from the Junior Academy of Sciences in competitions such as The Future of Ukraine, KPI Sikorsky Challenge, and BestRoboFest in Dnipro. We represented Ukraine at international competition Global Youth Science and Technology Bowl (GYSTB) 2020 in Hong Kong and should have presented our designs in Malaysia and Canada in March this year.
Unfortunately, however, the war ruined our plans when it came to our country and our native city of Kherson. The laboratory, equipment, and designs remain under occupation. It is currently impossible to conduct classes, as many students have left, and continue to leave, the city, and it is becoming dangerous to stay in the city itself.
After Kherson is de-occupied, we will do everything to function again, and we are also ready to open laboratories and operate in de-occupied cities.
