Our small company Ecosamar was founded in 2014.
After the Revolution of Dignity we wanted to do something that would benefit our country and our town. Therefore, we had decided to develop in the field of recycling.
We built a network of “eco-points” throughout the town and were buying recyclables from our citizens. Then we sorted it, pressed and turned it into material ready to be recycled.
Recently, we invested our own funds and created the first sorting station in the town that worked 24/7. Our citizens got the possibility to come any time to the station and sort their waste.
The war has changed everything:
1) Due to the full-scale invasion some of recycling factories we worked with were destroyed. Factories couldn’t pay for the raw materials we supplied before the onset of war. This deprived us of 80% of working capital that we used to buy recyclables from people. It also led to many citizens losing their jobs since for many of our clients selling secondary raw materials was the only source of income.
2) Our press that we bought in 2014 broke down. It served us 8 long years and therefore worn out. Now we need a new press.
We perform the following important social and ecological functions:
1) Our company sends for recycling around 100 tons of waste per year.
2) We create jobs.
3) We give the possibility to socially disadvantaged groups to make money from submitting secondary raw materials.
We would be very grateful for your help and support!
